Depression

Too many thoughts swirling in my mind
multiple colors all blending into black
an enclosed prison trapping me
DEPRESSION

A weight sinking into the sea
dropping down deeper, deepening
sinking, dropping even lower
blackness overwhelms me, paralyzing me
IMMOBILE

Unable to conquer
forever doomed within its walls
unable to shed the weight, the darkness
needing a warrior's strength
COURAGE

Faith, strength, hope, vigilance
possessing hidden qualities
through that I float
in the sea, past the darkness
OVERCOME

Happiness through depression
the monster attacked and retreated
endurance once again
living in the light
SURVIVAL
